Privacy policy

Effective 24 July 2026

Send It Grading Companion works primarily on your phone. Your card photos are analysed on-device and are not uploaded to Faulty Compass Studio. This policy explains the limited information the app handles and the choices you have.

Who we are

Send It Grading Companion is developed and published by Faulty Compass Studio (“we”, “us”). We do not operate accounts or servers that store your in-app data.

What the app stores

Everything the app saves stays in your device’s own storage:

  • Card photos you capture during an inspection.
  • Measurements and grade estimates produced from those photos.
  • Your inspection history and its results.
  • How many free gradings you have used and whether you have unlocked the full version.

We cannot see this information. It may be included in device backups only when you have enabled backups with Apple or Google; those backups are governed by their respective privacy policies.

You can clear individual gradings within the app. Uninstalling the app removes the information it has stored.

Camera access

The app asks for camera access only to photograph a card so it can be measured. Photos are processed on your device and are not transmitted to us or anyone else. You can refuse or revoke camera access in your device settings, although the app cannot inspect a card without it.

Internet use

The inspection and grading features work offline. The app makes network requests only when you choose to use value-related features:

  1. Market-value lookup. The app sends a card’s name or set details to a public trading-card price service to retrieve a price. It does not send photos, grade results or identifying details. The service receives your device’s IP address as part of an ordinary internet request.
  2. Updated grading fees. The app may download a small file of current grading-company prices and turnaround times. This download includes no information about you.
  3. Recent sold listings. If you choose to view recent sales, your device opens a third-party marketplace in your browser. That browsing is governed by that site’s privacy policy.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is handled by Apple’s App Store or Google Play. Payment details go to the relevant store, not to us. We receive no card numbers, billing addresses or personal details; only the store confirmation needed to restore an unlock on your account.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, logins or profiles.
  • No analytics, telemetry, crash reporting or usage tracking.
  • No advertising or advertising identifiers.
  • No sale, rental or sharing of personal information.
  • No location, contacts, microphone or health-data access.

Children

The app is a utility for collectors and is not directed at young children. It collects no personal information from anyone: there are no accounts, social features, messaging or advertising. If you believe a child has somehow provided personal information through the app, please contact us.

Grade estimates

Send It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or certified by PSA, BGS, CGC or any grading company. Its results are estimates intended to help you decide whether submitting a card is worthwhile. They are not grades and do not guarantee what a grading company will assign.

Changes to this policy

If the app changes what it collects or how it handles information, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change takes effect. Any future collection of personal information will be clearly announced in the app.
