Goalkeeper stats and highlights from your own match video

Film the match on the phone you own. Tag the moments while you watch it back. The app turns them into your save percentage, a match rating, six attributes, a highlight reel and a one page CV.

Goalkeeper Performance Tracker: football stats and highlights from your own match video, beside a phone showing a match report with a 7.9 rating, 64% saves and 82% distribution.

The gap

At the top of the game a goalkeeper is measured. Everywhere else, almost nobody measures anything.

Closing that distance normally means a camera system, a mount and a subscription running to hundreds a year, and even then the analysis is built mostly for outfield players. This does it with the phone you own, in about twenty minutes a match.

The whole loop is free. Tag your matches, rate them, read every report, watch your save percentage move across a season, cut your highlights. A subscription adds depth, not the point.

Tagging

You learn it by tagging it

No AI does the watching, deliberately, because the watching is where keepers improve. You play the match back at speed and tap once per moment: save, catch, parry, one on one, cross, distribution, goal conceded. About twenty minutes a game.

You see the one on one you saved and realise you should have swept it ten yards earlier. The short pass you ignored for an aimless long kick. Your left back calling while you were tunnel visioned. Then the season adds up what you half knew.

The tagging screen: match footage from behind the goal with a playback bar, a Mark kick off button and a large Tag button showing nine moments tagged so far.

Match rating

A rating that never sees the score

The final score is not one of its inputs. Your rating comes from the moments you tagged, so twelve saves in a heavy defeat can out-rate a quiet afternoon behind a winning team.

Every shot is priced by how likely it was to be saved. Tipping one over the bar is worth more than catching one at your chest, because you only tip over what was going in. Too few moments to judge and it says so rather than inventing a number.

A match report: a 0 to 5 defeat rated 7.9 out of 10 with 53 moments tagged, 64% of shots saved, 82% of distribution completed, and attribute bars for shot stopping, handling and command of the area.

The numbers

Six attributes, wired together

Shot stopping, handling, command of the area, one on ones, sweeping and distribution, each scored from what you tagged. One moment can move more than one: a parry counts as a save and marks down your handling, and claiming a cross credits your catching as well as your command of the area.

Save percentage and distribution success, match by match and across a season. Clean sheets, goals conceded and where each one beat you. Shot maps, pass maps, save percentage by shot height, and a report for every game.

The Stats screen: a six point radar of shot stopping, handling, command of the area, one on ones, sweeping and distribution, with bars for each attribute underneath.

Highlights

Your reel is cut by the time you finish tagging

Every moment you tag is already a clip. Match highlights open on a fixture card that gives nothing away and close on your report and shot map. Mark kick off and half time and the reel can carry a running match clock.

Match footage is gigabytes. Finish a match and the app cuts every reel, then can let its copy of the footage go. Your reels, moments and report stay, and still export years later.

The Home screen: a match highlights reel ready to play, with Match report and Moments buttons and a list of recent matches with their scores.

Coach

A goalkeeper coach in your pocket

At grassroots there is often no goalkeeper coach. A parent or a mate steps in and does their best with a position they never played, and what a keeper gets is "nice save" and "you need to make that play".

Every coaching card names its source, a goalkeeping coach, a governing body or a published paper, and links to the original. Between that and watching your own match back, you work out what to fix yourself.

The Coach tab: two coaching cards, one on handling and one on catching, each naming the coach and organisation its wording is based on with a link to read the source.

When a club asks

A one page football CV, as a PDF Premium

They want three things: a one page CV, a short reel and your numbers. The app writes the CV as an A4 PDF carrying your clubs, honours, references and your record, with the count behind every strength. You send it.

The Showcase screen previewing an example one page goalkeeper CV: name, season record, clubs, honours and references laid out as an A4 document.

Showcase

Your starred saves, in one career reel Premium

Star the moments worth keeping and they build into a Showcase reel across every match, cut in chapters. The one thing a club, a trial or a scholarship application asks for that used to mean paying an editor.

The Showcase screen: a career reel built from starred moments, with thumbnails for an over the bar save and a one on one, and a section for what you can send.

Yours

On your phone, because it is yours

No account, no sign in, no server, no analytics. Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to. It works offline, and one tap writes a backup file that you keep.

How it works

Three steps to your game

1

Film

Any phone, propped behind the goal or from the side. Import the video.

2

Tag

Watch it back at speed and tap each moment as it happens. About twenty minutes.

3

Done

One button cuts your reels, banks your XP and can free up the footage. Your report, rating and highlights are ready.

Who it is for

If you play in goal, this is for you

Between the sticks in Sunday league, pushing for an academy place, or a parent keeping track of a keeper's progress. Eleven a side, small sided and training are tracked separately, so a run of five a side does not blur the rest.

Questions

Asked before downloading

Is there an app that tracks goalkeeper stats?

Yes. Goalkeeper Performance Tracker works out save percentage, distribution success, clean sheets, goals conceded and where each one beat you, from footage of your own match. You tag the moments while watching it back, and the numbers come from what you tagged.

Do I need a camera system to use it?

No. Any phone will do, propped behind the goal or filmed from the side. Import the video and the app works from that.

How long does tagging a match take?

About twenty minutes. You watch the match back at speed and tap once per moment: save, catch, parry, one on one, cross, distribution, goal conceded. No AI does the watching, deliberately, because the watching is where a goalkeeper learns.

How is the match rating worked out?

From the moments you tagged, never from the final score. Every shot is priced by how likely it was to be saved, so tipping one over the bar is worth more than catching one at your chest. Twelve saves in a heavy defeat can out-rate a quiet afternoon behind a winning team. With too few moments to judge, it says so rather than inventing a number.

Can I make a goalkeeper highlight reel with it?

Yes. Every moment you tag is already a clip, so the match highlights are cut by the time you finish tagging. Reels open on a fixture card and close on your match report and shot map, and can carry a running match clock. Star the saves worth keeping and a subscription builds them into a career Showcase reel.

Is Goalkeeper Performance Tracker free?

The whole loop is free: tag your matches, rate them, read every report, watch your save percentage move across a season and cut your highlights. A subscription adds the career Showcase reel, the CV as a PDF, deeper statistics and exports without the watermark. It starts with a free trial through Google Play, becomes paid unless you cancel first, and cancels any time.

Where is my match footage stored?

On your phone. There is no account, no sign in and no server, so nothing is uploaded. It works offline, and one tap writes a backup file that you keep.

What goes in a goalkeeper CV?

When a club asks, they want three things: a one page CV, a short reel and your numbers. The app writes the CV as an A4 PDF carrying your clubs, honours, references and your record, with the count behind every strength, so you send it yourself.

Who made it

Built by a goalkeeper

Made by a keeper who has played at several levels of the English pyramid, from academy football to semi-professional to amateur now, and built the analysis he never had at any of them. The rating was checked against his own matches before it was checked against anyone else's.
